Actress Christina of Chicago Hope boasts an impressive resume as both an actress and activist. She’s won multiple Emmys and Golden Globes for her roles on television, film, and stage over the course of decades – her candid performances making her a household name.

She has starred in many renowned TV shows, such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Hope; she also appeared in films like Swing Shift, Running on Empty, Housekeeping and God of Carnage. Christine Baranski was born on May 2, 1952 in New York City, New York. She is an American actress, writer and producer renowned for her roles on television shows such as Cybill (1995-1998), Who Is Simon Miller? (2011-2014), and The Good Wife and its spin-off series The Good Fight (2009-2022).

Lahti’s forthcoming essay collection, True Stories from an Unreliable Eyewitness: A Feminist Coming of Age, takes no prisoners when telling her own tale. In a candid and revealing memoir, she recounts her childhood in Michigan, early acting career and current life as a middle-aged mother.

“My life has been a journey of triumphing and then fighting back,” she writes. She has learned to use humor as an outlet to tackle personal hardships, and writing has become her go-to weapon in the fight for women’s rights.

Her most recent work is a Fox pilot inspired by “Gone Baby Gone.” She hopes to pursue her passions for acting and advocacy in the future.

In the meantime, she is taking advantage of her time off by attending a play in Washington and visiting her family cottage in Traverse City, Michigan. Additionally, she and her sister – who is also a doctor – plan to start a business together.

She is an enthusiastic champion for women’s rights and believes the #metoo and Time’s Up movements will be successful. Additionally, her own memoir will be released this spring.

The actress is proud mother to Isabel, a lawyer, and Lily, an actress. She’s married to actor Matthew Cowles and they have two daughters.
